Why Make This
It’s fun! Making food into fun shapes is always a hit. Your family and guests will love seeing these cute Easter Bunny Cinnamon Rolls on the breakfast table.
It’s easy. While I’m a huge fan of making Homemade Cinnamon Rolls, there is always a time and a place for Pillsbury canned rolls and biscuits, especially when you might have a lot of other dishes to prepare, like at a special holiday. These Easter Bunny Cinnamon Rolls come together in minutes!
Ingredients
Here’s what you’ll need to make Easter Bunny Cinnamon Rolls:
large refrigerator cinnamon rolls – I like getting the Pillsbury Grands rolls for big, puffy cinnamon rolls. Again, you can make homemade dough if you prefer.
large refrigerator biscuits – You’ll want plain biscuit dough for the bunny ears and bow tie.
colored sugar or sprinkles – This adds color to your ears, tie, and any Easter egg biscuits you want to make with leftover biscuits.
10 candy eyes – This recipe makes five Easter Bunny Cinnamon Rolls, so you’ll need 10 candy eyes. You can also use chocolate chips, nuts, or candy-coated chocolates.
5 white candy melts and 5 large heart sprinkles – Together, these make the bunny noses.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Here’s how to make Easter Bunny Cinnamon Rolls:
Line two baking sheets with parchment paper. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
The cinnamon rolls will serve as the bunny face. Place these on the prepared baking sheets. The finished bunny cinnamon rolls will be quite large. You will likely only be able to fit two to three bunnies on each baking sheet.
Using a biscuit cutter, cut two “ear” shapes off the top and bottom of each biscuit. The remainder will be a bow tie shape. Dip the ears into pink colored sugar or sprinkles and the bow tie into whatever color sprinkles you like. Tuck these under the top and bottom of the cinnamon roll.
Bake the bunny cinnamon rolls 20 to 25 minutes. Cool on a rack.
Transfer the frosting that came with the cinnamon rolls to a small sandwich bag and cut off the tip for a makeshift piping bag.
Once the rolls are cooled, use the icing to adhere the candy eyes on the bunny faces and to draw a mouth and whiskers. Stack each heart sprinkle on a candy melt for the noses.
To make the Easter eggs: You should have three biscuits leftover. These are perfect to make into Easter eggs!
Reshape the biscuit rounds into oval shapes. Dip in sprinkles and bake alongside the bunnies. Once cooled, pipe frosting details over the sprinkles.
Variations
To make ahead: I am partial to making homemade cinnamon rolls, so for these bunnies, I recommend freezing cinnamon rolls and some extra dough a few weeks in advance to make it easy. The night before baking, simply pull out the cinnamon rolls and dough to thaw and rise in the fridge. In the morning, the kids can assemble their Cinnamon Roll Bunnies.
If you want to make these gluten-free, homemade is going to be the way to go.

To make these vegan, you’ll need to do a couple things:
- Make a homemade dough without eggs and using plant-based milk and butter OR pick up a few cans of Immaculate Baking refrigerated rolls and biscuits.
- Be sure that any sprinkles or candies you use are vegan. One clue will be that they use pure cane sugar.
