    • Coffee Cubes

If you’re a fan of Iced Coffee, but not so keen on the price you’ll pay at Starbucks, then you’re in for a fantastic surprise. Not only can you make your own coffee drinks at home for less, but you can make them even better with frozen coffee ice cubes.

    Why Make This

It’s tasty. When you make a coffee drink with coffee ice cubes, you are ensuring that your beverage will be super flavorful. No watery coffee at the bottom, but good java flavor from start to finish.

It’s a great way to avoid food waste. Food waste is a huge money waste. Why pour leftover coffee down the drain when you can freeze it for future recipes.

    Ingredients

Here’s what you’ll need to make coffee ice cubes:

glass beaker of coffee on white tray on black table.

coffee – You can use leftover brewed coffee, espresso, or even instant coffee. Ideally, use what you normally use for your morning cup of joe.

For concentrated coffee cubes, use cold brew concentrate. The cubes can then be diluted with hot water for an instant cup of coffee.

    Variations

If you’d like to be a little “extra”, you can flavor them with sugar, milk, or even a favorite extract or syrup. As they melt, they will add flavor to your coffee.

You can also make milk or cream cubes to add to iced coffee drinks. Follow the same directions, only use milk or cream instead of coffee.

Uses: Add the coffee ice cubes to iced coffee drinks, smoothies, or blended coffees.

    FAQs

What are the benefits of coffee ice cubes?

You know how an iced coffee gets watered down as the ice melts? When you use coffee ice cubes, you keep all the flavor since it’s melted coffee being added to your drink.

How do you use coffee cubes?

If you’ve made coffee ice cubes from leftover brewed coffee, you’ll want to use them in iced or blended coffee drinks. They are great blended into smoothies, too. If you use cold brew concentrate in your cubes, then you can dilute them with hot water for an instant cup of coffee.

Can you freeze milk for coffee?

You can freeze milk for baking, drinking, and for adding to coffee. Make a mixture of coffee and milk ice cubes to add a little interest to your afternoon iced coffee.
