Whip up a batch of these spicy candied almonds to serve at your next get-together. They make a great addition to the appetizer table or the salad bowl.
Add the almonds and toss to coat. Spoon the nuts out into a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
1 ½ cup whole almonds
Bake for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the almonds are glazed. Cool completely and store in an airtight container.

Store nuts in an airtight container and consume within a few weeks.Sugar Variation - Instead of maple syrup, you can combin ¼ cup light brown sugar or granulated sugar with a tablespoon or so of water to make a syrup. Heat the mixture until the sugar dissolves and then proceed with the recipe. It won't have the maple flavor, but it will be delish all the same. Add a dash of vanilla extract to jazz it up.
