In a large nonstick skillet, cook the ground turkey and onion until the turkey is browned and the onion is translucent, about ten minutes. Season with the garlic, curry powder, turmeric. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Grease two 12-cup muffin tins with nonstick cooking spray.
Line each of the muffin cups with one wonton wrapper. Add 1 tablespoon of the meat filling to each cup. Top with a small sprinkle of cheese.
Repeat the process by placing another wonton wrapper atop the cheese in each cup. Divide the remaining meat mixture among the 24 cups. Divide the remaining cheese among the cups.
Bake for 8 to 11 minutes until the cheese is melted and the wonton wrappers are crisp.
Serve immediately, garnishing with chopped cilantro and/or fruit salsa.
