Not Your Mother’s Make-Ahead and Freeze Cookbook is set to release tomorrow. Grab a copy and get cooking!

Tomorrow’s the Big Day! I’m not really sure how I feel about that. It’s been so long in the making. And the day is finally here. Date night tomorrow night includes a trip to Barnes and Noble. Yikes!

By this time in the 31 Days series, you know I have a deep and abiding affection for my freezer. It’s helped me out of many a tough spot.

If you’d like to make freezer cooking really work for you and you want some delicious recipes, then I recommend you buy my book. Yes, really. I know that sounds like a shameless plug. But, really. For years I was constantly disappointed by the freezer cooking books I saw. And I read a lot of them!

I tried to put all those missing components into this book. Of course, there’s always more to add and learn, but I think that Not Your Mother’s Make-Ahead and Freeze Cookbook is a great place to start.

You won’t be disappointed. I promise.

Congratulations! I should have mine by Thursday. I can’t wait!

  2. Congratulations!

I just wanted to say I’m the person who won this (so I have it already) and I think it is AMAZING! I love it!

I went by my local Books-A-Million today to make sure they were going to have it in tomorrow & they were showing a copy already on the shelf. Of course I had to buy it. Our life is chaotic right now and I think the only way we are going to get off of the “eating out merry go round” is to be intentional with make ahead meals. Your cookbook couldn’t be more timely for our family. I can’t wait to sit down with it tonight to make a list of chicken recipes that I want to try when I pick up my 40lbs of chicken next week. 🙂

I just got my email this afternoon that my copy of the book shipped! I can’t wait to see it!

  5. Kara says

Got my email from amazon saying it was shipped today! ….I have a great idea! I have several pregnant friends and I plan on making a meal from the cookbook and taking a copy of the book for them too. Spreading the love! 🙂

@Kara, I LOVE that idea! 😉 Thanks for your support!

Pre-ordered and looking forward to getting it in the mail! What really make me order it was 1. Looking at our crazy schedule for the next few months. 2. Wanting the recipe for all those things you keep including in your menu plan that say “in the cookbook”. Every recipe I have tried of yours so far has been fabulous, so I’m sure the ones in the cookbook will be just as delicious!

  7. Leah says

Just ordered it – it will be here tomorrow!! Can’t wait!!

  8. Trish says

Will it be available for purchase on the iPad? I just started following you from the 31 Days project…and I love your recipes so far 🙂

    • Jessica says

I know it will be available on Kindle and Nook, so if you have those readers on your ipad, you’re good to go. Thanks for your encouraging words!

@Jessica, I can’t believe I didn’t think of it that way…duh! I just pre-ordered it for my Kindle…thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

Hi there, I found your blog while looking for freezer friendly meals that do not use canned/dried soups, or rely on pasta (ie. casserole). My family avoids grains for the most part, as well as potatoes, but I’m quite adept at swapping ingredients to fit our needs. Do you think your cookbook would work for us?

    • Jessica says

While there are several recipes with pasta and potatoes, there are no canned or dried soup mixes in the recipes. Additionally, there are quite a few protein-centric meals and meal components that would probably work for you in addition to vegetable and bean recipes. You can see a very detailed table of contents here:

I got so excited about after getting my copy and diving into reading it that I had to have more. I am now the proud owner of not only my copy but five others that are going to make some great gifts for many of my girlfriends! Great Job Jessica can’t wait for the next one. I also can’t wait to find out how many copies get sold.
