Now that I have an empty and thawed freezer — and school is starting this week — I’m ready to get cooking! Literally.

Every day this week I’ll be cooking a few things to add to my freezer. I’ll be sharing the updates every afternoon and then posting a big ole’ round up at Life as MOM’s Freezer Cooking Days on Friday. Be there or be square.

Freezer cooking is a great way to save money, save time, and eat well. It’s a great way that we use to make ends meet around here. Heck, I even wrote a book on the subject.

Join us each afternoon for the update, the grocery shopping list, and an easy way for you to fill your freezer!

  1. It must be in the air. We’ve been doing this at our house too. Seems like back-to-school is a good motivation to fill up the freezer. 🙂 I love having things ready to go. It sure makes things easier!

  2. Deesselisa says:

last night while making one for dinner, i put together a bunch of extra mac n’cheese side dishes for the freezer. i’ll be doing breadcrumbs, red sauce, and calzones soon. and probably meatloaf per my daughters request.

  3. I start school on Friday, with the kids starting next Thursday. I have been filling the freezer for the past week in anticipation of a hectic fall!
