Formula meal planning can help you make weeknight dinners quick and easy. Assign a certain kind of dish to each night of the week for ease of planning.

Meal planning doesn’t have to be difficult. Or boring. You can apply a formula to your meal planning to make it easy — and mix up the combinations to make it fun. This week we’ve got things broken into categories: two meat and potatoes, one beans and rice, one breakfast, two taco nights, and a pizza night.

It makes for easy prep and even better eating.

8. Ham, Scalloped Potatoes, Vegetable, Biscuits

9. Grilled Chicken, Rice Pilaf, Vegetable

10. Beans and Rice

11. Breakfast for Supper

12. Paso Mom Tacos

13. Pizza NightVeggie Dippers

14. Carnitas, Beans and Rice

What’s cooking at your house this week?

The above is my menu for the week. I’m HOPING to have sausage rigatoni tonight. I reminded the hubby three times to bring everything up from the basement freezer last night….of course he forgot. As long as the sausage defrosts all is well, I can reheat the sauce slowly on the stove. Otherwise it will be fish and rice.

  2. Deborah Jennings says:

We had ham and scalloped potatoes and green beans yesterday for our main meal. =) I also fixed, at hubby’s request some pasta salad. It is really good, but it really didn’t go with what we were having. =) But I love him, so I fixed what he wanted.

We are having encore meals today, and tomorrow I will be making BBQ beef in the crock pot. I also want to fix some pork chops one night and chicken one night, then we will have encore meals, also.

  3. Harriet says:

    Tuna casserole tonight (Monday)
Sloppy Joes tomorrow (school choir concert)
    Ravioli Casserole Wed (before church)
    Encore night (baseball practice)
Friday-Eat Out 🙂 (after the school choir end-of-year party)
    Saturday is baseball night again
    Sunday is church.
This is how our spring seasons are so we eat quick-to-warm meals. I have no clue what we will eat this weekend. It seems so far away now that I am clueless. I may let the two teenage girls each take a night to cook.

  4. Our theme for the week is grilling. It’s my favorite theme because I don’t have to do the cooking 🙂

Here’s our menu for the week.

  5. This week is the start of our “month” so I’m linking to my entire plan. You’ll see I’ve got your homemade buns planned for later on! Looking forward to trying out the recipe!
