Jessica, I am going to try using as many recipes/idea’s that I can from this month of posts that you have shared! We struggle with the same old routine and have come to a place that we have resorted to eating out more than we ever have (except when we survived a tornado in 2003). I have been working part time cleaning homes and helping a neighbor with lawn care so I am usually very tired on my work days. I shared the “PLAN” with my husband and he is ready for a change as well. Hooray!
So thank you for sharing all your idea’s and recipes!
PS. I noticed in this recipe that you have “shimmer” and I assume that this should be “simmer”. I got a giggle out of it anyway.
Have a wonderfully blessed day!!!

Everyone’s sauce should shimmer. 🙂 Thanks for your kind words and encouragement! Bon appetit!

I made this today as I’m rocking the $70 dinner meal plan this week. So fast and surprisingly tasty (no offense)! 🙂 Actually, everything has been a hit this week and because my 3 little guys are, well, little, we’re getting lunch out of the deal, too! Thank you for putting that together!

Yay! So glad you’re getting a good run from the plan.

Sounds similar to my moms sauce- thanks for putting it in recipe form!!

It really doesn’t need a recipe, but it’s nice to see it for shopping and delegating. 🙂

Do you have the nutritional facts on this sauce?
Jessica Fisher
Sorry. I am not yet set up for offering nutritional facts. 🙁

I love making my tomato sauce in the slow cooker. You don’t even have to brown the meat beforehand, just dump it in and let the slow cooker do all the work. (Plus, the house smells amazing while it is cooking!) Here’s my favorite recipe: http://twoforksonelove.com/slow-cooker-tomato-sauce/
