Thanksgiving Prep: Make It Easy and Homemade

Thanksgiving is just over a week away. We’re having my parents down next week and I’m really looking forward to the visit.

And the meal.

As such, I don’t want to spend all day in the kitchen, so I’m making a plan to make it easy as well as homemade. At least as homemade as possible. If you’ve been following along on Life as MOM’s Ultimate Recipe Swap, you know that I’ve been giving old holiday standby’s, like Green Bean Casserole, a little modern spin.

Like making them homemade.

Believe it or not, Thanksgiving doesn’t have to come from a box and a bunch of cans. Making it homemade doesn’t take that much extra time, either.

How to Cook a Thanksgiving Dinner

Stay tuned for the Thanksgiving Prep series.¬†Over the coming ten days, I’ll be sharing different parts of the Thanksgiving meal and how to make it easy and homemade.

  2. What I would LOVE to know is how to keep all of the food warm? People come and go at our Thanksgiving and I ALWAYS struggle with how to keep the food warm. Thoughts? Help Please!

  3. I just made your cream cheese baked potatoes from your new cookbook and have them in the fridge waiting for tomorrow. Of course, I taste tested them and they are great!
