pinning this for sure! Looks fantastic. Don’t know why it never occurred to me to skip the eggs. The flavor is probably mostly the same.

It’s a hit at our house! We skipped the cream because it’s too expensive and too full of calories, but it was still perfect. Thanks!

My m-i-l makes her own from the Betty Crocker or Better Homes & Gardens cookbook using egg beaters. I never liked egg nog until she made it!
Karen
Love this idea! We used to be able to get a fabulous, but very expensive real eggnog from a certain dairy about 75 miles from here until the only store that sold it closed because of competition from Wally. None of us like the other commercal stuff, but this looks like a brilliant alternative – with healthy natural fats instead of chemicals. Yay!
Annie Kate
Yay! This looks great and is a whole lot easier to make than real eggnog.
Besides, we have one child with an egg-white allergy who wants to devour the macaroons we always make in conjunction with eggnog (gotta do something with all those left over eggwhites, and with her allergy we certainly cannot put them into the eggnog!). So I’m looking forward to trying this.
Thanks.

Well I’m looking forward to the ginger cookie recipe! This milk nog recipe is just the sort of thing I need – hate seeing my kids drink the processed egg nog at grandma’s house – hate making it a point of argument. It makes my husband ill every time he drinks it too – but they all love it [not me LOL]
This is a perfect solution – will sell them on it before we go to grandma’s and bring grandma a jug of it as a gift LOL
Sheila
Those cookies look good! What kind are they?
Jessica
@Sheila, those are a new ginger cookie I made this weekend with my mom. I’ll be posting the recipe later this week on Life as MOM.
