Pantry Challenge, Day 20: The Breakfast of Champions

by Jessica on January 21, 2010

I’m going to shock and amaze some of you when I tell you that I fed my family chocolate cake for breakfast. I did. Really and truly. I baked it last night when a major chocolate craving hit, but it didn’t get frosted until after bedtime. Let me tell you I was deemed Mother of the Year with this morning’s breakfast.

Yes, I know this flies in the face of our family’s food goals for the year. But, January 20th only rolls around once a year. It’s not like we’re going to do this everyday. In fact, tomorrow we’ll probably be back to oatmeal.

Breakfast: Chocolate Cake and Milk
Lunch: Tortilla Soup for the adults (hubs is home sick) and Snacky Lunch for the kids
Dinner: Pancake Night: cornbread cakes, Pancakes, ham, and hashbrowns

Do you serve dessert for breakfast? Why or why not?
